Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.

The walls were hand-painted by artist Caroline Lizarraga and the ombré stair runner is by DMc.

West Coast designer Catherine Kwong chose a sleek brass and lacquered-parchment credenza by Scala Luxury to fit this San Francisco apartment. “The design of this sideboard is reminiscent of work by French modernist Jean Prouvé. Chandeliers — simple in form, inspired by candelabras and originally made of wood or iron — first made an appearance in early churches.
