Art Deco Czech Cast Metal and Beaded Glass Figural Peacock Table or Accent Lamp
Located in Hamilton, Ontario
This antique figural peacock lamp is unsigned, but presumed to have been in the former Czech Republic in approximately 1920 in a period Art Deco style. The lamp is ornately cast of spelter and show considerable detail in the feathers and body, which has been given a bronze patination. The shade is made with a mix of threaded glass beads in amber, blue, green and clear to form the fanned male peacock's tail feathers. The lamp has two light fixtures allowing either side to be lit, or both if so desired. The figural cast peacock stands on a sturdy cast pedestal base.
