50 Million Year Old Fossil Fish Mural from the Green River Formation, Wyoming
By Green River Fossil Company
Located in Logan, UT
Four Eocene Era fossil fish from the Green River Formation are featured in this sculptural stone mural: a Cockerellites liops (formerly known as Priscacara) accented by three smaller Knightia eocaena. These fossil fish are about 50 million years old and are forever preserved in a textured matrix of natural, fossil-bearing limestone. This particular mural features a rare layer from our quarry known as Steel Blue Lake; the rich blue-gray color is a dramatic backdrop for the deep bronze color of the fossils. The mural measures approximately 1.33 feet x 2 feet. It is fully backed with wood and it includes a handmade custom Wenge wood frame which compliments the fossil color beautifully. The mural has a built-in French cleat, which allows for an easy installation. DETAILS -Mural size: 16" H x 24" W x 1" D -Mural weight: 20 lbs -Includes a Green River Fossil Company Certificate...
