About the Item

Superb Chrysanthemum by Tiffany & Co. sterling silver large and impressive antique tea tray with handles. The tray is marked #6682-4278 with "T" date mark for the years 1892-1902. The piece measures 26" x 16 3/8" with handles; without handles 22" x 16 3/8". This gorgeous tea tray is beautifully monogrammed with incorporated chrysanthemum design (see photos). The tray has some minor surface scratches; and will be professionally polished prior to shipping. Truly outstanding! Tiffany's luxurious Chrysanthemum silver was designed in 1880. With its flowing curves, swirling vegetation, meandering tendrils and exotic blossoming plants, Chrysanthemum is characteristic of "The Tiffany Style" or "Art Nouveau" as that style is now more commonly known. The rich and graceful flowering motifs of Chrysanthemum were undoubtedly influenced by Louis Comfort Tiffany. They make Chrysanthemum the most sumptuous of any American silver pattern. 100% satisfaction guaranteed! SKU #2689
