Pink Champagne Wave Glass, Brushed Brass Light Sculpture by Marie Jeunet
Located in Geneve, CH
Alliance 01 light sculpture by Marie Jeunet Dimensions: H 34 x L 25 cm Materials: Pink semi-opaque marbled glass, pink champagne wave glass sheet, brushed brass structure and finish LES PRECIEUX These luminous sculptures evolve with the rhythm of the passing of time, their locations and lifestyles of their owners. Moving reflections with variable ripples, their hypnotic caustics and ephemeral lights are nuanced according to the natural light they receive. The evening, they metamorphose and immerse us in a sweet atmosphere warm and warm. Inspired by the world of jewellery and entirely hand-crafted, - LES PRECIEUX- are made from cast, hammered glass sheets or blown. The structure and finishes are brushed brass, a touch of gold who has just finished dedicating these unique pieces. Composed of different layers put into volume, these light sculptures seem to float on the walls they inhabit. A delicate balance that combines the organic and the angular, the translucent and the opaque, the smooth and the textured, the polished and broken, a lightweight structure and an assertive design. Its first collection features 5 flagship models: SYMBIOSE RESILIENCE ALLIANCE UNITY PILL MARIE JEUNET From grandparents to framers and lighting manufacturers, a childhood spent next to the workshop of a great master glassmaker, this was what predestined Marie Jeunet to get passionate about the decorative arts very early on. To the question «Inanimate objects, do you have a soul?» she answers without the least hesitation, which she is convinced of. Collector, chiner, treasure seeker...

Elegant Pair of Bronze Torcheres by F. Barbedienne, P. Dubois and A. Falguière
By Paul Dubois, Ferdinand Barbedienne, Jean Alexandre Joseph Falguière 1
Located in PARIS, FR
MODEL PRESENTED AT THE 1867 PARIS UNIVERSAL EXHIBITION Listed in the Ferdinand Barbedienne’s catalogue as the “Deux femmes debout” (Two standing ladies) Signed on each one P. Dubois – F. Barbedienne Fondeur and A. Falguière – F. Barbedienne Fondeur Rare pair of parcel-gilt and patinated bronze figures, representing two women dressed in Antique style costume with jewels, each upholding a seven lights-arm candelabra. Standing on round bronze bases and black marble socles. Paul Dubois (1827-1905) entered the Paris Beaux-Arts School in 1858. He exhibited at the 1865 Salon the Chanteur Florentin, illustrating Florentine sculpture, observed after his journey in Italy. This work, cast that time in silvered bronze, was exhibited at the 1867 Paris Universal Exhibition (now preserved at the Orsay museum). Dubois' success brought him many commissions, both private (Portrait of Duc d'Aumale) and public (Jeanne d'Arc, in Reims). Appointed curator at the Luxembourg museum in 1873, Dubois became also a member of the Institute and finally headmaster at the Beaux-Arts School in 1878. Alexandre Falguière (1831-1900) studied under Jouffroy at the Paris Ecole des Beaux-Arts, began his career at the Paris Salon in 1857 and won as soon as 1859 the “Prix de Rome”. Falguière became very quickly successful and was several times awarded medals at the Salon, such in 1868 with his marble sculpture Tarcisius the Christian Boy-Martyr, or at the 1867 Paris Universal Exhibition, where he won the first medal in his category. Thanks to that success, he was immediately commissioned by private collectors as well as by the French State, whom asked him in 1878 to realize the Triomphe de la République, placed in 1881 at the summit of the Paris Arch of Triumph...

"Pluie" Table Lamp/Sculpture by Max Le Verrier Signed "Le Verrier"
By Max Le Verrier
Located in Beirut, LB
Max LE VERRIER creates his monkey with an umbrella, in front of the cages of the Jardin des Plantes in Paris. His model, a three-year-old chimpanzee, had the pretty name of BOUBOU. A great friendship was born between the monkey and the artist, passionate about animals... BOUBOU, held by the keeper outside the cage, agreed to pose in exchange for bananas. Every morning, he looked towards the entrance waiting for the one who was going to immortalize him in bronze... Max received a medal for this sculpture at the Salon des Humoristes in 1927. Accompanied by a certificate of authentication, it serves as a testament to its provenance and artistic significance, inviting viewers to appreciate its intricate details and embrace the essence of the Art Deco movement Known as "Pluie" : Rain and "Singe au Parapluie" : Monkey with Umbrella...
