Designed in 1925 by Bauhaus exponent Marcel Breuer, the model B3 chair is best known as the "Wassily" chair, named after painter Wassily Kandinsky (an early admirer and owner of the revolutionary design). This pair are rather old, with an unmistakable vintage quality and are genuine Knoll manufactured examples. The black leather seating surfaces (which retained the Knoll labels) were in extremely worn condition and all of it was removed (though carefully stored, if you want it). This is an opportunity to have a genuine, vintage pair of these great chairs upholstered to your exact whim. Faux long-hair goatskin? Why not? Purple cotton twill? Go for it! Hand-tooled, cowboy saddle style leather? Yeah, baby! Transparent vinyl? Now you are talking!
