About the Item

The perfect New York sofa and guest bed, and one of the finest daybed designs of the era. The model GE6 Daybed designed by Hans J. Wegner for GETAMA. This brilliantly constructed sofa doubles as a single bed when the backrest is lifted. Retains original wool fabric upholstery,,. The substantial teak frame has been hand-oil polished. Tapered legs while soundly sturdy, add visual lightness to the whole form. Original hardware, 1960s, Denmark. Hand delivery avail to New York CITY or anywhere en route from Buffalo NY Measures: 76.75" long x 33.75" deep x 30" high, 35" with seat back raised.
