About the Item

Hans J. Wegner for GETAMA GE-236 sofa. Danish Modern at its finest. Signed with burn in mark on the bottom stretcher. Solid teak slatted back, legs and stretcher base. Circa 1960. This sofa has a wonderful presence in any office or living room and the quality of Wegner's designs for Getama are some of his most meaningful. Original spring seat cushions, back cushions and arm upholstery done in a coarse brown fabric. Structurally sound and sturdy solid teak frame. Good original finish. The upholstery fabric is faded with wear and some minor pulls on one arm (see close up photo). The cushioning is in fair original condition. The springs are tight and in good shape. The green cambric fabric is faded and shows signs or wear from the under springs. Approximately 27" deep x 91.25" wide x 28.25" high. The approximate seat height with cushion is 15". The approximate arm height is 25".
