About the Item

- Exceptional set of four, Mid-Century Modern Dot stools in original condition with teak seats on three chrome legs with the original grey plastic cappings on the feet. - These dot stools inject Classic elegance into an interior and are suitable for everyday use as stools or occassional tables as they are the perfect height for sofa’s or low armchairs and being set of four creates harmony within the decorative scheme. - The teak is finely figured with exceptional colour and patina - The Dot stool is elegant, functional, lightweight and stackable, exuding the simplicity and aesthetics of Classic Mid-Century Modern Danish design. Can be combined with another set of 4 to create a set of 8 for stylish dining seating The Dot stool was developed by Arne Jacobsen and Fritz Hansen during the 1950's, as the Danish architect was working the Ant chair. While creating the chair Arne Jacobsen spent a lot of time at the Fritz Hansen factory testing, refining and finalising his project. The result of the collaboration was presented to the market in 1954 as a three legged stool in teak veneer. In 1970 the stool was redesigned with four legs.
