1960s Florence Knoll Partners Desk in Walnut and Chrome with Four Drawers

About the Item

This is a Florence Knoll Partners Desk or Executive Table, Model 2485, designed in 1961. It was manufactured in the 1960s by Knoll International. It features a walnut top that sits on a chromed-steel 4 star base. Florence designed this piece to serve both as a large desk, and also as a work table to promote collaboration. The design's dimensions also render the piece appropriate for use as a dining table if desired. The table measures 72 inches long and 32 inches deep. The underside of the desk has a wooden X that has been added to lift it about 1.75 inches taller than it would typically sit. This can be removed if desired prior to shipping. The desk typically has a height of 29.25 inches. It is approximately 31 inches tall with the additional wooden X underneath. The desk does show expected wear from previous use, but overall is in good condition. The top has recently been refinished. Please see photos.
