About the Item

A rare and refined mid-century Danish executive desk designed by Arne Vodder for H. P. Hansen Møbelfabrik, Denmark, circa 1960s. Constructed in rich teak, this L-shaped desk features Vodder’s signature attention to proportion and balance, combining functionality with elegant form. The design incorporates a floating main surface and a perpendicular return, supported by two drawer pedestals with sculptural details and angular frames. The main desk features two locking drawers, including a deep file drawer with Vodder’s hallmark square metal recessed pulls. The return section includes four drawers, all with matching hardware and a slightly angled front that nods to Vodder’s architectural approach. Marked with original H. P. Hansen branding and “Made in Denmark” underneath. Finished on all sides, this piece is designed to float in a room and command presence from every angle.
