An extremely large medallion brooch from the 1950s by New York fashion jewelry company Jeanne. Often Jeanne's creations are small and feature animals. This pieces in a very rare large scale design measureing 4.5 inches wide and high. The gold plated design is unique in the use of textured layered rings to create a cross medallion design. Furthermore, the brooch is accented with large faux pearl cabochons in the center and at the points. Each pearl is surrounded by a band of rhinestones to accent them.
