Cartier GIA Diamond Platinum Engagement Ring 1.01 Carat G VVS2

About the Item

A Cartier platinum diamond solitaire ring with a GIA certificate and the original receipt dated March 2003. The diamond featured in this Cartier engagement ring has exceptional grades that meet Cartier’s highest quality standards. The gem is four-prong set in the platinum fluted shank. Three ribs and pointy arrows holding the diamond are alike to the Trinity ring design which symbolizes love, loyalty, and friendship. This solitaire ring by Cartier is a perfect choice for those who’s looking for a flawless diamond engagement ring signed by one of the most famous makers. This Cartier engagement ring is made of platinum and features a 1.01-carat round brilliant cut diamond of G color, VVS2 clarity which is stated in a GIA Diamond Grading Report that accompanies the diamond (see picture 5). The ring is size 5.25 and weighs 6.1 grams. The engagement ring is stamped with Cartier maker's mark, diamond size, hallmark for platinum, and serial number. About Cartier Brand: Since 1847, Timeless Excellence has been Cartier’s second name. The brand’s story begins when Louis-François Cartier took over the workshop of his master, Adolphe Picard, in Paris. Initially, Cartier focused on creating high-quality jewelry and watches. His dedication to excellence and attention to detail quickly earned him a reputation among the elite clientele of Paris. Even higher quality standards of Cartier jewelry were set in 1902 by King George VII. That year Cartier made 27 tiaras for the coronation and was officially announced as the crown’s jewels seller. Since then, Cartier was proclaimed as “king of jewelry, the jeweler of kings.” The maker still lives up to this statement. The Cartier legacy endured through the generations, with each family member contributing to the brand's global success. However, in 1964, the Cartier family decided to sell the business. The company changed hands several times but continued to maintain its commitment to quality and innovation. Today, Cartier is part of the Richemont Group, a leading luxury goods conglomerate. Compared to other famous luxury jewelry brands, such as Van Cleef & Arpels or Tiffany & Co. who are working with precious stones a lot, Cartier is strictly focusing on diamonds and pieces made of different hues of gold. Over time Cartier created a great number of the truly iconic pieces. From a classic Cartier Love bracelet to the famous Cartier Panther collection and Cartier Trinity, without mentioning a wide variety of Cartier watches — you name it. But our hearts belong to the vintage Cartier jewelry. We appreciate the uniqueness and craftsmanship of our estate pieces. Each of them has a timeless character and tells the most fascinating stories. The exquisite quality of the Cartier pieces is unquestionable. The Maison continuously keeps creativity, innovative spirit and loyalty to traditions running at the highest level possible. Whether you are purchasing a Cartier diamond ring or any other jewelry by Cartier, you are becoming an owner of a symbol of Timeless Excellence. About Platinum Jewelry: Platinum stands apart from other precious metals due to its defining qualities of purity and durability. From the chemical perspective, platinum is one of the most stable elements. The white color of platinum comes from its purity. While white gold contains an alloy of zinc, copper and nickel, platinum has a pure 95-98% composition. In fact, white gold is yellow gold mixed with other metals and then rhodium plated. Platinum is durable and more dense than yellow gold. Platinum jewelry lasts for ages and can be passed down from generation to generation. Platinum’s purity and strength make it relevant to the idea of eternal love. It’s an embodiment of strong feelings and rarity. That’s why platinum engagement rings and platinum wedding bands have been popular ever since. Platinum is also a symbol of status and reputation. It looks subtle and not as obvious as yellow gold. Gemstones set in platinum are not distracted because of the metal’s neutral appearance. The color, brilliance and vibrancy of diamonds and colored stones are amplified next to platinum “true white”.

About Engagement Rings: The tradition of using engagement rings as a formal agreement to marry can be traced to the Roman Empire, where women wore rings to signify mutual commitment and loyalty. The modern custom of giving diamond engagement rings began in 1477. Archduke Maximilian of Austria gave Mary of Burgundy a diamond ring, starting a trend among European nobility. However, it wasn’t until the 20th century that diamond rings became the standard symbol of engagement. This was mostly due to a famous De Beers ad campaign in the 1940s with the tagline "A Diamond is...
