Pure white and lovely lavender and both are awesome! Here is a pair of vintage Mid-Century Modern Blendo cocktail pitchers with incredible “cat tail” signature handles. These pitchers are attributed to the West Virginia Specialty Glass Company's Blendo line of glassware. The West Virginia Specialty Glass Company factory produced the Blendo collection from 1956-1987 with its heyday in the 1960s. It has no pontils but smooth bottoms. It came in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes. Ranging from pastels to bolds and brights; and from pitchers and bowls to various sizes, shapes and types of drinking glasses and bowls. Après des études d'ingénieur (1944-1950), il est employé par Caterpillar-France et Du Pont de Nemours. En 1953, il intègre Technès, le bureau d’études techniques et d’esthétique fondé en 1949 par Jacques Viénot, le père de l’esthétique industrielle, et Jean Parthenay. Rapidement promu au poste de directeur technique et artistique de l’agence, il en devient directeur à la mort de Jacques Viénot en 19593.
Enseignant dès 1957 à l’École des arts appliqués de Paris, il met en place le premier cours de design en France. En 1963, il crée le département design de l'École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs à Paris.
Roger Tallon meurt à Paris le 20 octobre 2011.

A lovely mid-century Bavarian porcelain ginger jar with gold trim and gilt details by Hertel-Jacob Porzellan (German, 1906-1979). This large ginger jar is ornately decorated with a highly detailed romantic figurative landscape scene, in which three men depicted in gold enjoy an opulent picnic of wine, meat, and fruit under a tree, in front of a large medieval castle complete with a canon and canon balls. A gold leaf motif decorates the backside of the piece. The signature "Fuchs-Nadler" can be found within the picnic scene, underneath the tray of food and wine.
Stamped on bottom with mark "Hertel-Jacob Porzelan / Bavaria Germany", and the serial number 1266.
Measures 14"H x 7"D.

'Gambo d’Oro’ (Stem of Gold) is a unique centrepiece by the British artists, Anthony Scala and Liam Reeves.
With very differing practices, Scala and Reeves have collaborated to create works that are a unique result of their combined skills. Paying homage to Venetian glass, their choice of the soft milky white, opaline colour, is a direct reference to one of the most traditional palettes used.
Beginning with free-blown elements created by Reeves, an authority on the history of Venetian glass & techniques, the final precise construction is undertaken by Scala. Elegant and refined, the hollow stem is filled with lustrous silver leaf, accentuating the undulating form.

With a career in glass now spanning over 20 years, Scala creates art works that can only be described as acts of precision. As equally beautiful as they are meticulously created and despite being a hugely skilled glass blower, it is with cold working that Scala excels.
Initially qualified as an architectural model maker, it was during this time that Scala learnt many disciplines that would be equally relevant to and ultimately inform his practice today. His passion for glass was discovered however during an apprenticeship with Peter Layton at his studio at London Glassblowing.
