Set of 4 Black Series 7 Chairs by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen

About the Item

This is a gently used set of 4 Series 7 (model 3107) chairs by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen. They have seats in a colored ash veneer - black (#195). The Series 7 chair is an icon in modern furniture history. It was originally designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955 but has been in production ever since. This particular set was made in 2007 in Denmark. Its unique shape is timeless and incredibly versatile. The 3107 has very slim yet strong steel-tubed legs that complement the shell’s curved profile. Legs extend just beyond the edge of the seat, allowing chairs to be easily arranged in rows or stacked for storage. The base/legs are discreetly mounted to a circular disc beneath the seat further enhancing the clean, minimal aesthetic of Jacobsen’s design. These are a classic that will never go out of style. There are a few minor scratches to the seats (see close up images) and some oxidation to the steel legs consistent with age and use.
