Set of Four Framed 18th Century Hand-Colored Architectural Engravings
About the Item
Set of Four Framed 18th Century Hand-Colored Architectural Engravings is from a set of engravings by Sieur de Neufforge, a noted architect during the 1700s in Paris. The entire series was approved in 1757 by the Royal Academic of Architects and published in 1768. This set of four were particularly well-preserved and even exhibit their original hand-colored enhancement. The designs were most probably for ceiling adornment, and feature various classical themes popular with the court of Louis XVI. Newly matted and beautifully framed by W. King Ambler, they will make a great wall study for the architect, designer, or aficionado in your family!
