Cissy ZOLTOWSKA created for Pierre Balmain, Jacques Fath, Helena Rubenstein and Balenciaga, Lord & Taylor, Bergdorf Goodman.
During the 50s and 60s, it designed 300 models each year for the French, German and American markets.
Very few of his creations are signed and are very rare.
She died in 2004 and her pieces are highly sought after and collected.

Giò Pomodoro, was an Italian sculptor, jeweler, printmaker, and stage designer. His brother is the sculptor and architect Arnaldo Pomodoro. In 1954 he moved to Milan, where he associated with leading avant-garde artists and started making jewelry. He then began to produce reverse reliefs in clay and also formed assemblages of various materials, including wood, textiles, and plaster subsequently cast in metal. During the 1960s, he developed several series of sculptures, which explored a range of abstract shapes, usually with smooth undulating surfaces. Being a unique estate jewelry piece, this vintage gold pin is designed as an artichoke thistle flower. The “petals” were meticulously crafted by using embossing and hammering techniques. Each petal is topped with a diamond. Two circled rows of diamonds are embellishing the top of the flower and hugging the pearl.
The stem of the flower is high-polished gold. There are four diamonds set on a wavy leave sitting on the stem.
This full of dynamic vintage gold brooch pin was made as a true piece of art, with close attention to details and extraordinary skills.
This vintage brooch is made of 14 karat yellow gold (tested) and features a golden South Sea pearl accented with diamonds. The pearl measures 12.3 x 13.8 mm. The diamonds are round brilliant cut and single cut, champagne color and VS-SI1 clarity, total weight approximately 2.32 carats.
