Vintage 1970s Ivory Mixed Lace Sheer Cotton Bohemian Flutter-Sleeve Bridal Gown
Located in Beverly Hills, CA
An ethereal 1970's British custom couture ivory gown that effortlessly mixes the bohemian vibe with 1930's Old Hollywood glamour. I definitely think this beauty would make an epic bridal look. The fabrics used work absolutely perfect together; a semi-sheer cotton gauze blend mixed with netted filet lace and thick corded crochet lace. The bodice is framed with gorgeous scalloped trim and the prettiest winged flutter sleeves. This figure flattering gown with a flirty low backside accentuates the waist while skimming the hips with yards and yards of skirting. The knotted fringe detail adds such fantastic depth and texture. It is impeccably hand crafted and on the level of modern day couture. Here is a show-stopper with attitude and elegant.

Vintage 1920's Martha Weathered Couture Pastel Silk Rosettes Filet Lace Dress
Located in Beverly Hills, CA
A breathtaking museum quality bridal dance dress dating back to the mid-1920's. Two layers are cleverly designed to complement each other; a fine filet-lace outer layer with a foliate design over an ecru silk-crepe slip layer embroidered with pastel silk-ribbon rosettes. The rosettes are positioned under the filet-lace design so that they appear to be the blooms of the foliate in the lace! The overall effect is quite spectacular, and the dress has survived beautifully over the years. A small designer label in the interior reading "Weathered Misses Shop Chicago", which was the one shop in Chicago able to import French couture. The original owner of the garment said the shop was able to do this by selecting the couture designs overseas. After making their selections, the patterns and materials would be shipped over for fabrication in their own workrooms, allowed them to sidestep the hefty import tax on already completed couture models. The design and construction are identity to Callot Soeurs aesthetic who was known for working with wealth American clients. A rare piece of ethereal fashion history that will become a favorite in your collection.

Vintage 1960's Helen Rose Couture Fully-Beaded Blush Pink Silk Hourglass Dress
By Helen Rose
Located in Beverly Hills, CA
Breathtaking and incredibly rare Helen Rose designer couture blush-pink beaded cocktail dress dating back to the early 1960's Old Hollywood era. Helen Rose won two Academy Awards for Best Costume Design: for "The Bad and the Beautiful" in 1952 and for "I'll Cry Tomorrow" in 1955. She was nominated a further eight times and was well-known for designing famous iconic looks of the stars of this era. She designed the wedding dress of Grace Kelly when she married Prince Rainier of Monaco in 1956. She also designed clothing for Elizabeth Taylor in the movies Father of the Bride and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof as well as Elizabeth Taylor's bridal gown when she married Conrad Nicky Hilton. Helen Rose, like Edith Head and Irene Lentz, was one of the rare women who became chief costume designer for a major film studio. Her style was elegant and understated but still extremely innovative.
This sparkling museum quality dress is a perfect example of her pure genius. The fabric itself is a masterpiece; triple layered blush pink silk chiffon that has been embellished by hand with elegant glass-beads, large crystals, faux pink pearls in the most gorgeous floral motif. Such dazzling 3-dimensional texture! The sculpted low v-neck front and back bodice really compliment the elaborate fabrication. I adore the hourglass nipped waist cocktail silhouette which Helen Rose did so well. Helen's couture line existed from 1957-1971. In 1957, the price for her retail version of the Liz Taylor "Cat" short chiffon dress...

Vintage 1950s Emma Domb Grey Chartreuse Floral Print Cotton Strapless Sun Dress
By Emma Domb
Located in Beverly Hills, CA
With its stunning grey chartreuse watercolor floral print cotton and flawless "new look" silhouette, this Emma Domb dress has the casual elegance the 1950's were known for. The artisanship alone is so alluring. The bodice is a beautiful fully-boned shelf bust strapless. I adore the curved pleatwork. An hourglass drop-waist flows into a gorgeous two-toned built it sash design. The full circle-skirt finishes this dress off with a classic romantic vibe. Stylish, feminine luxury will never go out of style.
