Original Vintage “Tip and Tap” Mascot Keychain Munich 1974 Fifa Soccer World Cup

Original Vintage “Tip and Tap” Mascot Keychain Munich 1974 Fifa Soccer World Cup

Located in Nuernberg, DE

Celebrate one of football's most memorable tournaments with this original "Tip and Tap" mascot keychain, produced for the 1974 FIFA World Cup held in Munich, Germany. Tip and Tap, the cheerful twin mascots dressed in the black, red, and gold colors of the German flag, became the first pair of official mascots in FIFA World Cup history and remain among the most recognizable symbols of the tournament. This authentic vintage souvenir captures the optimistic spirit and bold graphic design of the 1970s. Compact yet highly collectible, it is an excellent piece of football memorabilia and a nostalgic reminder of West Germany's successful hosting of the 1974 World Cup, culminating in the host nation's championship victory. The dimensions provided in the measurements section refer to the rubber mascot figure and the attached chain and key ring (Figure is approx. 1 3/4" high). The keychain displays an attractive vintage patina with light wear consistent with age and use. Found at an estate sale in Munich, Germany, this rare original souvenir is a wonderful addition to any collection of FIFA memorabilia, vintage sports collectibles...

French Art Deco Glass Vase by Daum, Thick Blown Green Glass, 1930s
French Art Deco Glass Vase by Daum, Thick Blown Green Glass, 1930s

French Art Deco Glass Vase by Daum, Thick Blown Green Glass, 1930s

By Daum

Located in Saint-Amans-des-Cots, FR

A striking French Art Deco glass vase by Daum, crafted in Nancy, France, during the 1930s. This sculptural vintage vase is made from thick hand-blown glass in a rich green tone, with subtle internal bubbles and natural variations that give the surface exceptional depth and character. Its broad, asymmetrical silhouette reflects the refined modernism of the Art Deco period while retaining the organic quality associated with handcrafted French art glass. The substantial walls create a strong architectural presence, while the translucent green color shifts beautifully according to the surrounding light. Displayed near a window or under focused lighting, the vase reveals nuanced shades ranging from deep emerald to softer olive green. The base is signed “Daum + Nancy France,” confirming its authenticity and origin. Founded in Nancy in the late 19th century, Daum became one of France’s most celebrated glassmakers, renowned for its technical innovation, artistic experimentation, and collaborations with leading designers and artists. With its generous proportions and bold form, this Daum vase makes an impressive decorative statement on a console, sideboard, pedestal, mantel, or contemporary coffee table. It may be displayed as a standalone sculptural object or used for a restrained floral arrangement. The vase remains in very good vintage condition, with minor signs of age consistent with its period and use. An exceptional addition to a collection of Daum Nancy glass, French Art Deco decorative arts, 1930s design, or important European studio glass. Dimensions: Height: 7.5 in. (19 cm) Width: 8.7 in. (22 cm) Depth: 5.7 in. (14.5 cm) Maker: Daum Origin: Nancy, France Period: 1930s Material: Thick hand-blown and bubbled green glass...

When it comes to shopping for vintage, new and antique furniture — whether you’re finally moving into that long-coveted loft apartment, ranch-style home, townhouse or furnishing your weekend house on the lake — you should think of your home as a stage for the seating, tables, lighting, storage cabinets and other pieces that best match your personality.

Coziness, comfort and creating a welcoming space are among the important things to consider when buying furniture, whether that means seeking strict cohesion or rooms characterized by a mix-and-match assembly of varying shapes, colors and materials. And for those who now work from home, exercise, eat and relax within the same four walls every day, they’ll also want to think about flexibility and an innovative approach.

Have you built your dream kitchen?

Is your current living-room furniture all that it could be?

Does your toast-worthy bar or vintage bar cart exude equal parts class and cheeriness?

And importantly, is your home officebackyard or otherwise — a happy one, regardless of the design style you happen to gravitate toward?

Although mid-century modern, rustic, minimalist, Art Deco and contemporary looks remain popular, they aren’t the only styles available to design connoisseurs.

Furniture styles are nothing if not fluid, meaning what’s popular one year may not be the next. That’s why it’s crucial to not only pay attention to interior-design trends but also focus on the styles that speak to you. That way, you (and your interior designer, if that is in the plans) can work to create a home that’s entirely your own, complete with impressively modern decor as well as an array of history’s universally renowned iconic designs.

It’s difficult to single out well-recognized designs from what is a crowded pantheon of celebrated and seminal furnishings. Certain outstanding designs have such stellar quality they’ve endured for decades as bona fide cultural treasures, still being manufactured, in many cases, by the same venerable companies that shepherded them into being (think Herman Miller, Knoll and Fritz Hansen). Some works come immediately to mind as contenders for any short list. When you’re discussing the most popular mid-century modern chairs, for example, no tally would be complete without citing designs by Arne Jacobsen, Charlotte Perriand, Charles and Ray Eames and Hans Wegner.

Good furniture, be it authentic vintage furniture or new & custom furniture, allows you to comfortably sit and tell your favorite stories. Great furniture tells a story of its own.
