126 years-old antique wooden bookcase - manufactured in Meiji 31 (1898), The year was written on the backside of the bottom of the drawer box, together with the owner's name & the address (there's another calligraphic notes on the inside of the drawer, was written, probably by the owner in Meiji 40.)
Made with traditional wood joinery without metal fastener, by professional craftsman called sashimono-shi. Original paint remains in nice wabi sabi touch.
