Charming diamond, 18K white gold frog brooch/pendant with cabochon emerald eyes.
Estate sourced, wonderful quality, the photos don't do this piece justice due to the reflections of the multitude of diamonds which completely cover the entire body of this marvelous guy. Vibrant emerald cabochon eyes as seen against the black background photos.
Approximately .65 TCW diamonds
Marked on back 18K
This piece may be worn as a brooch or as a necklace enhancer/pendant. The locking mechanism is very well made and secure. Chain is for display purposes.
Excellent condition
The frog is a symbol of abundance, good fortune and wealth in numerous cultures- China, Japan, Native American, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece to name just a few. In Medieval England, frogs were associated with witchcraft in connection with love potions and became linked with romance and love. The classic tale The Frog Prince by the Brothers Grimm is emblematic of the allure of the frog as is the Russian folk tale Tsarevna Liagushka or the Frog Princess.
