Floral Kilim Rugs Handmade Carpet Vintage Traditional Wool Rug
Located in Wembley, GB
Handwoven red roses and their foliage sit beautifully against a deep brown background to create the centrepiece for this rug. The main border is a cream zig-zag with a blue zigzag inside. Detailed with a simple cream fringe on two sides, adding subtle texture to this genuine wool, flatweave rug. This tribal wool rug is a Kilim rug carpet that derives from Turkish tribes. The Kelim flat weave rug is all-natural and completely handmade using the best organic hand-spun wool and cotton. In addition, only organic dyes have been used for the production of this luxury woven rug. This oriental rug was created in the late 20th century, designed and woven by local village weavers. Handwoven Kilim patterned rugs are very hard-wearing items and therefore ideal for any environment. The rich tones in this colourful rug will complement the interior of your home. This rug will make a stunning statement piece for any room it’s introduced to. These Kilims look beautiful and fit in as living room rugs, bedroom rugs, or an entranceway rug. Washable and one of a kind, these rugs cannot be found in every rug warehouse or rug store. Measures: 200 x 295cm Floral Kilim Rugs handmade carpet vintage traditional wool rug...

Outstanding Floral Bessarabian Kilim with Light Green Border, 19th Century
Located in San Francisco, CA
Outstanding Floral Bessarabian Kilim with Light Green Border, Mid-19th Century Pile carpets and flat-weaves known in the market as 'Bessarabian' were woven mostly in the 19th century in what are now the countries of Romania, Moldova, and Ukraine—along the northwestern coastal areas of the Black Sea (in eastern Europe). Both pile and Kilim types use floral subject matter and a distinct coloration, with a dominant dark ground and accents in rose reds. This older Bessarabian flat-weave uses a red derived from imported cochineal and adds a pleasing complimentary contrasting light green border, a feature lost in later examples. Planted flower pots...

As an exclusive, state of the art piece, the rug is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. This piece is made-to-order, please get in touch should you wish to customise size or colours. Due to the rare and time-consuming nature of the rugs’ production techniques, all rugs require a manufacturing lead time of 4 months minimum, this may be longer depending on the rug size and design complexity. Please bear in mind that images are for illustrative purposes only. Due to the handcrafted quality of the pieces, wool colours may vary slightly to the concept images.
