About the Item

"Diamond chair" by Harry Bertoia. Bertoia, who came from the collaboration with architect Eero Saarinen and architect-designer Charles Eames at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan, thought that in order to make a chair that appeared light and easy to handle, while still guaranteeing considerable resistance to use , it was appropriate to use metal structures that guaranteed solidity and stability. The wire “Diamond Chair” was introduced by Knoll in December 1952 and together with other pieces became part of the famous “Bertoia Collection”.
