Pendant-Brooch designed by Henning Koppel (1918-1981) for Georg Jensen. An aerodynamic vintage piece of the Spatialism art movement (1947-). This Henning Koppel design was conceived after the war in the 1948, following the parameters of the new Spatialism art manifest. The creation of this pieces was part of an extensive series of studios and was finally created into jewelry around 1950 in Denmark. Gold pieces was produced in extremely very limited editions. It was carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polished finish and is suited at the reverse, with a hinged vertical steam with a security lock to be used as a brooch and a loop to be used into a collar or chain. This piece is the model number 1339, the biggest produced and have a total weight of 27.3 Grams (without wire, not included) and a measures are 60 by 49 mm (2.4 by 2 inches). This is a convertible pendant brooch carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and accented with applications of black enamel. Embelished with fine selection of gemstones such Dutch rose cuts diamonds and a Colombian emerald. It is fitted at the reverse with a hinged pin bar with a security hook to wear as a brooch. This piece can be also wear as a pendant. It should be noted that the emerald and diamonds used in this piece are of exceptional quality. Seeing a piece from this period with an emerald of this quality is very rare and difficult. Usually these pieces with that kind of precious stones were disassembled during the later Victorian period to create new pieces. Fitted with a hinged double stick pins with a security trombone lock and a safety hook to wear as a brooch or a pendant. The main central gemstone is beautiful pear cabochon cut (32 x 50 x 8 mm) of a rare natural blue turquoise from Arizona of 93.31 carats. Flanked by a pair of natural vivid red Sardinian corals from the ox blood variety, carved and polished with free-forms and whimsically shaped roots with a combined weight of about 12 carats. Accented around indiscriminately by 10 four-prongs settings, mounted with round brilliant cut white colorless diamonds, 1.10 carats, E color, VS-1 clarity. Has a total weight of 65.8 Grams and a measurements of 73 mm by 50 mm (2.83 x 2 Inches). Stamped with the maker's mark, the gold assay hallmark and signed, "KING 18KT". Arthur King, was a renowned American master jeweler located in New York city that work between the 1960 and 1970. Convertible Maltese Cross pendant brooch. A flamboyant and colorful iconic piece, created with modernist patterns, back in the 1970. This convertible oversized Maltese pendant-brooch has been carefully assembled with elements crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with brushed, satined, textured and polished finish, creating a great surfaces contrast.
