Alexa Gerdingh, also known as SENDHUESO, is a 20-year-old artist and emerging designer from Mexico City. Alexa’s artistic journey is deeply rooted in her passion for exploring the intersection of form, function, and aesthetics, resulting in work that spans sculpture, analog photography, and functional design. Each of her creations is characterized by an eclectic twist that reflects her distinct perspective on art and design. Alexa’s background in diverse fields of study, including fashion design, graphic design, and ceramics, has equipped her with a multifaceted skill set that she seamlessly integrates into her work. She is currently pursuing her studies at Product Design, in the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, where she is honing her craft in various disciplines. Her sculptures often draw from organic forms and textures, while her analog photography captures the raw and unfiltered essence of her surroundings. In functional design, Alexa blends practicality with artistic expression, creating pieces that are not only useful but also visually striking. SENDHUESO’s work is driven by a desire to push boundaries and challenge conventional notions of design and art. Her approach is both innovative and thoughtful, as she seeks to create pieces that resonate on a deeper level with her audience and herself. Through her diverse practices, SENDHUESO is making her mark on the contemporary art and design scene, bringing a fresh and unique perspective that is both impactful and enduring. As she continues her studies and develops her craft, Alexa remains committed to expanding her creative horizons. She is constantly exploring new techniques and materials, aiming to refine her artistic voice.
