It is a current of the nineteenth century: Neoclassicism, of which it is the highest expression. Interested in furniture, architecture, decorative and visual arts, the Empire style characterised each field in a distinctive way; it went beyond the geographical limits of birth to expand much further and enjoy enormous success.
