Circa 1686 Daniel Stoopendaal Map: Biblical Sites from Paradise to Canaan This circa 1686 hand-colored map by Daniel Stoopendaal, titled "De Gelegentheyt van 't Paradys en 't Landt Canaan," beautifully illustrates the Middle East, extending from the Mediterranean to the Persian Gulf.
