A six-arm brass frame holds cone shaped glass lamp shades with nice brass bolts.
The fixture has six sockets for small Edison screw base bulbs type E14 (max. 40W per bulb). These bulbs are available in all countries (US, UK, Europe, Asia, Canada,) for the local electricity voltage. It also can be used with an external dimmer.
The lamp is in very good condition and ready to use.
The height of the body only without stem is 9 inch (23 cm). The overall drop can be customized for free of charge. Also the existing canopy can be replaced with an US one for free of charge.

Iconic pair of wall sconces designed in "Brutalist" style by Julius Theodore Kalmar and produced by Kalmar for the Soria collection between 1960 and 1964, for this series the company preferred to use Murano glass; each sconce consists of a nickel-plated metal frame in the shape of an open box, in the front, there are lamp holders for two light points and an attachment on which the glass structure is easily hooked and can be removed for cleaning, while the one that rests on the wall contains the electrical wires; These spectacular sconces are characterized by the icicle-like glass components (ice glass) that look incredibly similar to a real ice sculpture; when lit and flooded with light, they cast beautiful shadows on the surrounding walls, creating a cozy warmth in the room despite their icy appearance, they play with natural (sun) light even when turned off. Founded by Julius August Kalmar in 1881 in Vienna, Kalmar originally produced handcrafted objects with cast bronze. Over the years, they partnered with acclaimed architects and designers, eventually presenting their custom-made wares at major exhibitions such as the 1888 Vienna Trade Exposition, 1893 Chicago World's Columbian Exposition, the 1901 Export Exposition Scandinavia, and the 1906 Austrian Exhibition in London. Entering the 20th century, Kalmar began crafting customized fixtures with top-tier architects and designers for some of the largest luxury projects in the world, a path they continue on today. Available today, this Mid-Century Modern armchair set in beige leather & hardwood designed by Joaquim Tenreiro in 1955 is a showstopper. Full stop.
The stately pair consists of a hardwood structure with ebonized feet, spring seat and backrest in leather. Both pieces have the "Tenreiro Arquitetura de Interiores SA" seal under the seat which can be seen by opening the zipper underneath the seat (as seen in the pics). The armchairs are very wide, making them not only super rare but very comfortable.
These Brazilian Modern gems effortlessly flex into any Mid-Century Modern, modern, Danish modern or contemporary environment. This piece would also look wonderful in a boho chic, or Hollywood Regency styled home or office as well.
During the restoration process, both armchairs where dissembled to understand their condition and to restore them following Tenreiro’s technique. Part of the process is shown in the last few images.
Back in the fifties, most of the high-end furniture was created as special requests by wealthy patrons. As such, this is the case of this set that belonged to a private residence in Teresopolis, a well-known city for modernist architecture, two hours away from Rio de Janeiro.
