The light is documented in the Kalmar catalogues from 1952 as well as from 1960.
'Dornstab' is the German word for 'thorn stick'. Four brass thorns are on the back of a curved and organic shaped wooden stand. The lamp shade has a brass loop and a wooden handle and can be positioned on three of the thorns at different heights.
The wood and brass parts are in original condition with a warm aged brass tone and with lovely patina. The conical lampshade was renewed on the basis of the original shade and is made of thin woven cane. Also the cord including switch was renewed.
The condition is very good and the light is ready to use.
