About the Item

This is an ESU 230-C with doors designed by Ray and Charles Eames for Herman Miller in 1950. This particular example was produced in the 2000s. This line was discontinued in 1955, and was re-released in 1998 after a 43 year break. The frame is composed of perforated steel extrusions with diagonal bracing that were coated in zinc. This piece also features plywood sliding doors that were molded with circular indentations which increased their durability and their resistance to warping. The shelving unit measures 16.25 inches deep, 47.25 inches wide, and 32.625 inches high. This piece does show wear from previous use, including some scratches to the frame and surface blemishes. Overall, the ESU is in good condition. Please see photos.
