Ubald Klug designed this rare modular DS-1025 "Terrazza" sofa as a real living landscape. Each element recalls a terrace-like, stepped slope with different widths and depths. A valley or a mountain can appear depending on how the individual modules are assembled. The "Terrazza" was recreated thanks to the De Sede manufacturer and its ability to transform high-quality leather into seating furniture. This multi-layered upholstered relief invites people to sit or lie down, combining durability and comfort with a unique design.
After training at the Art and Design College in Zurich, Ulbald Klug (1932) gained further experience in architectural practices in Zurich and Helsinki. Paris has been his sphere of activity since 1966, when he founded his architecture and interior design bureau. Heavy quality vintage hanging lamp made in the 1960s by Kalmar Franken. This Austrian family business has been producing high-quality luxury lamps since 1881.
This vintage piece has four glass plates with a relief and texture reminiscent of melting ice plates. The hanging lamp weighs almost 4 kilos and hangs from a coarse gold-colored chain. A real eye-catcher for every interior!
In the 1960s, the company developed various lamps, all of which had a special glass design as a basis. In addition to hanging and ceiling lamps, the company also made a series of comparable wall lamps with names such as Frankenstein, Rapottenstein and Kreuzstein.
