Object Permanence Furniture
About Object PermanenceCo-curated by Leah Ring and Emma Holland Denvir, Object Permanence is a quarterly exhibition series that was created with the initial intent of highlighting Los Angeles design talent. Each iteration of Object Permanence revolves around individual interpretations of a specific prompt, keeping the brief loose and allowing the participants freedom to express their vision and highlight their particular expertise in a broad range of materials. The event was founded as a means to bridge the gap between LA's various creative industries, offering a space to exchange ideas, build connections, broaden communities, and foster open dialogue across zip codes. For Edition 4 of Object Permanence, Ring and Holland Denvir aim to bring this same spirit of community building to their peers on the opposite coast. By bringing together a diverse group of New York designers, Object Permanence aims to build connections and community across the country as well as within the New York design scene. We seek to offer a voice to up-and-coming designers by highlighting their work alongside that of more well-established studios.
