Additional Information: This work is hand signed in pencil by the artist "Riopelle" at the lower right corner.
It is also hand inscribed in pencil "EA" (épreuve d’artiste), at the lower left corner.
This impression is one of a small number of artist’s proofs aside from the edition of 75. There were also 20 hors commerce [out of trade] impressions.
It was printed by Atelier Maurice Felt, Paris and published by Galerie Lelong Éditeur, Paris in 1985.
This is the first of eight compositions comprising the portfolio ‘Les mouches à marier’ [Marrying Flies].
The paper bears the Arches watermark in the lower left margin.
