Yarnall Abbott

Yarnall Abbott was an American photographer and painter born on September 23, 1870, in Philadelphia. He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He practiced law with his father before quitting to become a full-time artist. Abbott studied art in Paris and then returned to the United States, where he continued instruction at the Pennsylvania Academy. He was a member of the Philadelphia Sketch Club, an exhibitor at the Society of Independent Artists, a writer who contributed to art magazines and a lecturer on art appreciation. Abbott died on June 24, 1938, in Philadelphia.
